Mid-Summer Melt: A Cooling Flow into Yin Workshop

Summer is a verb when you live in ‘vacationland.’ In a state as magical as Maine, there is a lot of activity to squeeze into a few short months. During this season of movement, heat and expansion, it is easy to neglect rest, introspection and renewal. This get-it-while-you-can mentality can lead to physical and emotional imbalances, sleep disturbance and agitation.

Join Alex Argo for a special yoga workshop. This 90-minute class will begin with a gentle flow designed to circulate cooling energy throughout the body, countering the abundant fire element of the season. We will then settle into longer held Yin Yoga style postures intended to ground the expansive energy of summer. Like a cooling swim in a mountain lake or an afternoon nap under a shady tree, this workshop is intended to align us with the languid richness of summer.

Join us online and in-studio, Sunday July 31st from 4 to 5:30 pm.

This workshop will be offered both in-studio and virtually through zoom. The in-studio class will be limited to five students to provide space for social distancing. Masks are required for in-person classes, regardless of vaccination status.
