Slow Flow Donation Class for Sea Change Yoga

Sea Change Yoga is an organization that is near and dear to our hearts. As a nonprofit yoga service organization, they bring the evidence based practices of trauma- informed yoga and meditation to those who have experienced trauma, are under-served and marginalized, and in need of the emotional regulation and increased physical and mental health that trauma informed yoga and meditation practice provides. Sea Change Yoga currently teaches more than 100 classes per month to students at residential treatment facilities, community recovery centers and correctional institutions

Last year, during Thanksgiving season, Rosemont Wellness Center  joined sixteen other local yoga studios and raised over $4,750 to bring yoga to folks going through tough times.

This year, Rosemont Wellness Center & Aleksandra Townsend will donate all proceeds from the Slow Flow class on November 26th to Sea Change Yoga.

Aleksandra’s class moves slowly through a series of fluid postures, with an element of mindfulness and modifications for all levels of experience. Emphasis is placed on linking breath with movement while relieving tension in the body, longer holds and mindful transitions. This is a great class for all looking to de-stress or wanting to take a flow class at a calmer pace.

You’ll be helping raise support so that folks in recovery, New Mainers, people in correctional facilities, survivors of sexual violence, and many other neighbors who have experienced trauma will receive the gift of yoga.

We hope to fill Aleksandra’s class and unite our yoga community to help ensure ALL our neighbors have access to the powerful practice we love. Aleksandra will have BOTH an in person and a Zoom option available!

Please join us on November 26th at 6:00 PM
